It’s Time, Let’s Empower Spartan Excellence!

It’s time to come together as a vibrant community during our 4th Annual Damien Week of Giving - showing your unwavering support as we embark on a journey together. We are Empowering Spartan Excellence.

The Damien Sports Medicine program serves the Damien athletic community by providing on-field medical coverage for all home practices and athletic events, while also providing students insight into the fields of sports medicine and athletic training. With two full-time certified athletic trainers on staff, we are able to assist our students and athletes with the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illness.

We are asking that you please consider supporting the Sports Medicine program in our efforts to continue providing the best possible care for our students and athletes with the addition of a recovery room. Our hope is that this room will serve multiple purposes. First and foremost, this space will serve our athletes’ recovery and injury prevention efforts. This space will also be used as a lab for our Intro to Sports Medicine and Athletic Training classes, a meeting room for our Athletic Training and Sports Medicine Clubs, and a space to bring in guest speakers to educate our students about the various career fields within the realm of sports medicine. Some of the items we are hoping to have in our recovery room include the following:

• Compression Boots
• A variety of therapeutic modalities such as cupping, tooling, and theraguns
• Red light therapy
• Treatment Tables
• Skeleton Models
• PEMF Therapy
