Support Damien Debate During the 5th Annual Damien Week of Giving

Students at Damien have been successful in a wide variety of competitive endeavors, but none have been more successful more often than the Debate Team. Damien Debate has achieved success at the highest levels, winning the California state championships five times, the east Los Angeles district championship twenty-four times, the Citrus Belt league twenty-three years straight, the National Debate Coaches’ Association championship, the Novice National Championship, and the National Championship.

Debate team alumni have received preferential admission, and sometimes full scholarships, to prestigious college debate programs such as: Harvard, Stanford, Dartmouth, U.C. Berkeley, Northwestern, Emory, USC, University of Michigan, University of Georgia, and Gonzaga amongst others.

While Damien Debate does its best to keep costs as low as possible, the program needs to travel nationally to remain competitive. Your generous contributions allow the program to subsidize the cost of travel for our students, ensuring that the benefits of debate are accessible to all families and that our squad is able to uphold the highest standards of excellence nationally.
