Father Pat, may you rest in peace my good friend.

Father Travers touched so many lives and was a wonderful priest and human being who will be missed by us all. Rest in peace, Father.

Father Pat, thank you for all you have done for our parish community and for celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. You will be greatly missed at Holy Innocents, you have touched the lives of so many, words can't express our loss. We will miss you dearly, rest in peace.

He will be missed. The memories we have from high school to marrying us 16 years later will always be special to us and our family.

Such a shame to loose such a great, caring and loving man. I pray that he's touched many men along the way like he did many of our class.

Fr. Travers was such a big part of our lives and we loved him dearly. He was at first an administrator when my husband attended Damien (Class of 1975). I came to know him when he married us and then baptized our children, as well as other children in our family. He was the first priest I knew as a friend and a true example of what it is to live a life like Christ. We supported his mission to help the poor and marveled at his commitment and energy, especially as he grew older. He truly cared about those less fortunate, all with love in his heart and a smile on his face. His Irish wit was always greatly appreciated and his friendship will never be forgotten. I will always be grateful that not long before he died, he made the trip to our home where we all sat down to a wonderful dinner together. May God hold him in the palm of His hand and bless him always, as we were blessed to have known him. He will be greatly missed.

I will truly miss you Father Travers. I remember seeing you a few years ago in the high desert at our church. You were a guest and gave the sermon for that mass. It was truly great to see you after all those years and for you to meet my family decades after I graduated from Damien. May God bless you and may you rest in peace Father.

Words can't express my gratitude for Father Travers; I will miss him dearly. His legacy will live on in the lives he has touched over his many years.

You were the original charter member of Pat Traver's Band, reminiscent of the sticker you put above the windshield of the Damien bus, driving the freshman football teams to their games. I was a rebellious teenager when I arrived at Damien in 1967 as a Sophomore. I had received poor grades at public school, particularly in Geometry. Father Travers took an interest in me. He offered to stay after school with me to help me understand Geometry. He encouraged me to become a better student in all my classes. It was his interest in me succeeding that inspired me to move from the lowest academic tract to the highest by the time I was a senior. Rest in peace my faithful professor and mentor.

Fr. Travers was the epitome of a servant of Christ. He loved everyone of God’s children and worked tirelessly to bring comfort to the needy. He will always be remembered for his sacrifice for others.

During my time at Damien, Father Travers was very supportive . Father Travers was always doing what he was preaching . I had a great deal of respect for him.

Thank you Fr. Travers for the example you set for all of the Spartan men you led during your run at Damien.

May he Rest In Peace and rejoice with our Lord in heaven. Thank you for all your hard work.

You taught me humility early. I bragged when I solved a geometry problem before others and you instructed me tj be quiet so others could figure it out for themselves. Just one of many times I didn’t realize I learned from you in my daily life. Sleep well Father. I sleep better knowing you’re with me. Salud Padre!

Deepest condolences to the Congregation of the Sacred Heart and Father Travers family. Father Pat’s kindness, teachings and examples will live in our hearts until we are reunited. Rest in peace Father Travers.

Many great memories of Father Travers during my time at Damien. Lucky to have been able to Father Travers a part of a small and important chapter in my life.

My best memories of Father Travers are being his T.A. and him letting me take the golf cart around the campus. I also played monthly racquetball pickup games with him. He was such a kind and gentle soul with a great sense of humor. He made such an impact in my years at Damien and throughout my life. He is truly missed.

May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. Thank you Father Traverse for your mentorship, guidance, and service into shaping me and others into instruments of Gods peace and love

Father Pat spent his entire life doing for others and taking care of so many. He was an amazing man. I'm sure when he arrived in Heaven, God had a special seat waiting for him.
